Lennox and Amaryllis MacIntyre
Eve Mott is like Monty Roberts. She understands dogs in a way like no one I have met, she is a true dog whisperer. Eve was able to ensure the best boundaries and rules for our new puppy. Within 1 hour of Eve being with us she had transformed our dogs behaviour by showing us that we are the boss and through kindness and fun was able to teach all the basic commands.
I was truly impressed and decided to book her 6-week puppy class. This was not only fun for our new puppy but enabled him to learn the basic life skills that he will need to overcome obstacles in later life.
I have been asked so many times in the park "God, how is your puppy so well behaved at such a young age?" Even my mother who looked after our dog had people coming up to her asking her how had she trained him so well. It is all down to Eve's teaching rules which, if consistently followed, are fun for both you and your dog. All the people I know who have had a session with Eve have been so amazed and have seen such rewarding results. She has a natural way of communicating with the dogs, which is quite magical to watch. I couldn't recommend her more highly.

I don't know whether Poppy, my Lancashire Heeler, is their ideal puppy, but as soon as I met Eve, Amy and Gary, I knew that they were the ideal people to look after her while I was abroad. I inherited Poppy from my mother; I love her dearly and have known her all her life, but I have to travel a great deal for my work and at first I did not know what I was going to do. Long and frequent stays in large, impersonal boarding kennels would not have been good for her, and it seemed risky to entrust her to strangers. But from the start, it was clear that the people at My Ideal Puppy loved dogs and knew all about them. They immediately appreciated Poppy's special qualities and she trotted off quite happily with them, without a backward glance. While she is with My Ideal Puppy, she has lots of fun and many adventures; she sleeps on Amy's bed; she has found a whole range of new canine and human friends, and is obviously beautifully looked after. Eve sends me text messages and photos so that I can see how much she is enjoying herself. Poppy always comes home bursting with energy, trim, glossy, fabulously healthy, and above all, confident and happy. She is very pleased to see me and clearly excited to be back, but for the first hour or two I find her looking wistfully at the front door, obviously hoping that Eve, Gary or Amy will come through it.
Coming to London from the countryside was difficult for Poppy. She is eight years old, she missed my mother, and had lost all her people overnight. But she has adjusted wonderfully, and My Ideal Puppy has played a huge role in making that happen.

I have been working with My Ideal Puppy for approximately six months now. I don’t know how I would cope without them. Letting strangers into one’s house is always something which we understandably worry about but I was completely at ease from the moment that I met Eve and Michelle. I am not sure whether I was more stressed about handing over my keys or my dog! Six months on and Sam unquestionably thinks that Michelle is part of the immediate family. He is thrilled to see her the moment she walks through the door although I do admit that I get a little jealous (I am sure it is just because he can smell the treats in her pocket)! My Ideal Puppy understands the concept of going the extra mile. They are certainly a lot more than “dog sitters” or “dog walkers”. They care passionately about the dogs in their care and will happily tell you about each one’s individual personality. This is more than just a job for them. My little pug would be lost without them … and so would I.
